Brawl is oh so fun! I'm glad the gamecube contollers are compatible with the game. We only have one stick to share between the four of us. I like using the old contollers for Brawl as opposed to the stick. Feels more like Melee, and it doesn't bother my arm.

We're not hooking up the Wii to the net, nor will we ever, so please don't ask for my friend code ^^;

Ye gods, I've been an inactive for the past few days. I somehow managed to land more full-time weeks despite the hour cutbacks at work. Oh but the monies :) I'll have more to save up for school/rez and monies to buy art supplies.

I'm hoping to get around to finish some much needed drawings and take pictures of my figure collections.

It's also International Free Comic Book Day this Saturday. Only the best day ever! I'll be missing it due to work, so I'm going to send my lacky to pick me up some free goodies and order my DVD box set.

Why do the Japanese get spiffy cons like this http://medarot.sakura.ne.jp/MG/index.html? I didn't even know they had an individual con specifically for Medarot. Thats just freaking awesome, and it sounds like so much fun! Fan character comps, game BGM remixes, doujins, art...I do wonder, do a few of the attendees dress up and cosplay as the characters at this particular expo?

Note to self: Must attend these expos one day.

It's a creepy town cause all the houses are abandoned and you don't see people walking out on the streets. Not only is it dead and creepy, it's a bore! Nothing to do! And there are too many old farts living there. And there are no comic shops. And the college is smaller then my former high school! But the cab drivers and people are vercy nice and friendly though. Eager to help visitors and welcoming. Bus system...is confusing @@ Lukily you only have to remember seven routes ^^

Anywayz. Did my portfolio review thinger. I thought there was an interview, but didn't happen. They just took my book and discussed about it behind closed doors for twenty minutes. Have no clue if they liked the drawings or not, nor did they ask me any questions. Buh. Tues and Wed are the days I will here the verdict.

Lynden Park Mall was interesting. It wasn't a HUGE mall like they go on about there. But the food court was interesting. Lots of healthy choices and a smoothy bar to boot! Now that's something you don't see in the mall courts here.

The stores were the same as here, so I didn't buy much. What I did end up buying was a Soild Snake figure of Metal Gear Solid fame. This particular figure, he's clad in the outfit he wears in Smash Brawl!!

If you don't know who the heck Snake is, he's  guy. And that is the outfit the figure wears. But he doesn't come with his signature cardboard box D: *cries* Why?! He's not Snake without his beloved box *cries* I'll just have to make him a box! Mahaha

We were suppose to be getting a Wii as an Easter gift, looks as if it's no longer happening D:

What happened is my dad took his car in to get an oil change, but the mechanics found a serious problem with the head cap on the engine leaking and the valves needed replacing. Since the van is old my dad was planning to get a new car in the summer, but as he found out yesterday, he'll have to get one in the next few months. He doesn't have the money at the moment to buy a new car, and wanted me to help pay for it seeing as I have more money in my account then both my parents. However, if I give him this money, I won't have any money for college if I am accepted this year.

So my dad refuses to buy us a Wii. Mom has already bought the games, so she won't be paying for the system. She said my sisters and I have to put our money together and buy it ourselves. And here I was getting excited to play Brawl today.

I find (by pure accident or coincidence) the weirdest, insanest crack on the internet from time to time. But this... this takes the cake...

With Mega Man's own heroine Roll of all people! *laughs* My god... The Japanese must love this woman so much as she appears in quite a few other crossover doujins. Hell 90% of all Medabots doujins are dedicated to her. Fekking whore XD

It pains me to admit this. Through further thinking and contemplating I have made the decision not to attend Anime North this year.

Many reasons why I have chosen not to attend are as follows:
- I don't know if I have been excepted into the last two colleges.
- It's a waste going down to Toronto on the Fri, attending AN on the Sat and leaving back to home on the Sun.
- There's a money issue at present
- Two months is not enough time to complete a costume. Let alone start one.

I've also made the decision to attend AN ever other year instead of an annual event (But if dragonix_814 happens to drop by Canada again one day then that is a DIFFERENT STORY!!!). I just need the time to recollect myself and enjoy going to other venues for a change. Besides, living life isn't always about attending cons. That, and I don't have any friends at the con save my sister Sequence. So. Meh. Not really missing a thing.

To those people in the Beyblade and Medabots cosplaying groups, I'm greatly sorry to bear this news to you. I can no longer participate in your activities. My apologies. Don't have too much fun without me. Meet you all again in 2009.


p.s. - I'm not quitting cosplay though. I will be working on next years costume through the duration period.

A phone call today from Seneca has pretty much left me confused. They say I wasn't accepted a few days ago and now my applications are back in for reconsideration. I don't know whether to take this as a good sign or not. It could be just a mis-communication glitch perhaps. The answer will be revealed when a final letter comes, I guess.

But argh it's giving me a headache :P

Dragonix, I'm very, very sorry ;_; I couldn't get a Doctor Who figure, but!! I've got two surprise figures for ya instead. They'll be heading your way once I find a box to ship them off in :p

I had my pre-admissions English test today. Roughly about three parts. It was a piece of cake. Although there was a drawing test I was unaware about. I hope I did okay on it as the time limit to draw two images was 30min.

Two portfolios are done, the second is nearly finished. Praying I'll be accepted.

Though the portfolio exercises were great insights on what I have greatly improved upon and what still needs major repairs. I've learned I'm great with 3/4 front views and front views. Not so good with 3/4 back and profiles. Also I have somewhat improved upon in perspective areas but like, what the hell is two point perspective o.O Ur guess I failed that assignemnt >_<

One thing I know if I do get accepted I probably won't be able to attend a con this year. If I don't get in, and can manage to go to the con I have to make a costume under $20 as I'm tight for money. The previous costumes I had planned - AndrAIa and Mona I've had to scrap. AndrAIa has become too expensive for me to continue and I won't have the time to make Mona's cheerleading outfit or afford the cost of dying my hair orange.

If in attendance, it looks as if it will be a Saturday only thing. Problem is there is the Beyblade photoshoot but I've promised the Medabots cosplayers I'd join thier group, which puts me in a tight bind. Suzie is a less expensive, easier/faster costume to put together then Aaron. But..urgh Suzie is tempting as we have none of the Kilobot cast yet. Or any of the females leads oh my o_O

Bah I'm so undecided until the college responses come. After they do twill be easy to figure this carnage out.

Those of you who have played Pokemon Diamond or Pearl will get the joke.

Back on topic. I absolutly love the new underground feature in the game. I like digging down in the rocks as a breather during long quests. Interesting how most items you need to aquire are only found if you dig them up. I assure you I have plenty those dratted heart scales along with spheres. But like what's with those fragment pieces made from some device from long ago? I've dug up a number of them but don't know what they do. Perhaps later in the game? I've only just recently recieved my third gym badge -_-;

The one thing I had been dying to get was one of the fossils. I can spend hours in the underground just digging for those treasures, but always end up empty handed. Till yesterday. Finally hit the gold! A skull fossil = a nice little Cranidos = R-EX's new favorite PKMN to add to fave list.

I have a portfolio of 29 drawings due on Feb 25 for one of my applied colleges. Oh yes everything is going great, the portfolio is going fine till yesterday.

I have two more portfolios of 15 drawings due on Feb 8. I only got the notification yesterday

This is SO not fun anymore ><

Plus I've been spending WAY too much money on printing costs, ID pictures and portfolio fees on these damn colleges. Better be worth it in the end dammit!!

I feel like an idiot not picking up those Bey G-Rev DVDs yesterday in the discount pile!!! They had them all and the Battalion-centric episodes with uncut versions of the original Japanese episodes subbed and crazy bonus features and free randomly inserted character card and good spazzy crap. Yeargh stupid wanting to save my money for stupid box set XD

Man, what an awesome day. Okay, so I was at work all day but still. Fun!

The power went out in the city and came home to a dark house. My family had candles lite on the dinner table and were eating, of all things, cereal for supper XD No power equals no cooking. We had planned to have my birthday dinner tommorow anyways. I don't have to work! But I have an eye exam later in the afternoon >(

Short entry yes. Nothing to report.

My mom was going over the final cost tally for our gifts. There are four of us (siblings)so each of us equally get gifts totalling up to $200 this year. Apparently she told me she owes me gifts. I'm $100 short o.O I didn't get a DVD or DVD boxset as my three sisters did which explains the missing amount. So I have no clue what exactly I want ^^; I'm not angry about it. Just like "meh whatever". I had no clue what I wanted for x-mas this year. I simply told her to surprise me. And she did but totally with stuff I can use.
My birthday is coming up, she could use the missing amount for a gift then. I was going to buy myself a Wii as a b-day gift, alas, Canada's shipment was short so we won't be seeing Wiis till late Feburary-March due to the high demands. However I've decided I'll possibly go for the Medabots DVD set to be released days after my birthday. She could buy me that to make up for Christmas. Sequence suggested to mom to buy me gift cards like from art stores, book stores etc, as they will see alot of use.

But yeah, I guess out of all the gifts I recived the doujins and t-shirt made me grin.

When someone says one of your pairings is 'moe' ...is that a good or a bad thing?

I'm asking as it has come up, and I am not familiar with the term. I looked it up on Wikipedia, but I'm more confused as hell then anything. Explain?
